My husband says to me,"I think you're part man." He said this in response to my near-disaster regarding lost interview recordings. Interviews I've been working on for months now. I've been talking to mom bloggers about the impact blogging has had on their lives - you can check out the profiles I've posted at my personal blog, Everyday Baby Steps. I've had such great conversations with amazing women, who've been open with me about their reasons for blogging and what blogging has given them. I've only posted a handful of the more than 20 interviews I've done.
And due to my stubbornness inattentiveness to certain details like reading the directions on my digital voice recorder, I almost lost more than half of my interviews! I spent about an hour in tears and whined to my Twitter friends, telling the moms I'd interviewed how sorry I was that the time they'd spent talking to me was for nothing. Everyone was very encouraging and said they'd be happy to chat again. Bless their hearts.
But, thankfully, my ever-patient husband was able to locate and retrieve the "missing" files, which had actually only been placed elsewhere in the depth of the inner workings of my computer. Yay, crisis averted! And lesson learned. I will be spending the rest of this afternoon with the owner's manual of my Olympus Digital Voice Recorder - VN-3100PC and transferring the files to my external hard drive. Please take a lesson from my mistake. Learning to use your equipment will save you many tears.

A huge *PHEW* to you!!
